Because this, this was an outrage. He was King and he barely understood himself what that meant, because his stupid mother had decided prey was worth something and turned her back on everything. He'd had to figure out what he could himself, had to steal notes from somebody who hated him and wouldn't tell him a thing, somebody who wanted him to be a normal human child and didn't realize this was one thing he would never be. He didn't understand Taiga was smart, smarter than Shima Mamoru anyway (even if Taiga was only nine and Shima was a lot older) and could see through his tricks, his attempts to make Taiga irrelevant and weak. Taiga didn't care how old Shima was, never paid attention to discussions of human ages, didn't care because humans have short lives and that's all a Fangire needs to know. He didn't know the Fangire lifespan either, because the humans never lived long enough to figure that out, and that infuriated him and he shook with rage whanever he thought about it. Shima, his mother (who he didn't remember but hated forever for subjecting him, her own son, to this injustice), everyone around him was conspiring to rob him of his heritage, had done so already, were planning to do so until he relented, but they were all fools because he, Nobori Taiga, the King of the Fangire, would never relent, he knew who he was and he was stronger than all of them, and they would all see when Bishop took him away and he returned to kill them all.
